Pet Friendly Destinations in Panama
Some resorts and all-inclusive hotels in Panama are pet friendly, but each has its own set of rules regarding weight limits, extra fees, and designated pet areas. Always contact your accommodation directly to confirm their current pet policy before your stay.
Here’s a list of some places known for welcoming pets and having hotels and locations with some facilities for four-legged companions.
Important Restrictions: No Pets in National Parks or Turtle Nesting Beaches
While Blue Skies Panama offers pet friendly flights to many destinations, it is strictly forbidden to bring dogs or any pets into Panama’s national parks. This is especially important for Coiba Island, where pets are not allowed under any circumstances due to strict conservation rules. Dogs are also absolutely prohibited on beaches where sea turtles nest, as they can dig up and eat turtle eggs, threatening endangered species and conservation efforts. If your plans include protected areas or turtle nesting beaches, arrange for your pet to stay in a safe location outside these zones.
