Day Pass at Taboga Island

Descripción

Taboga Island, also known as “Island of the Flowers” got its nickname as flowers are blooming all year round.  Relaxing beaches, colorful houses, good hotels and restaurant make this island unique in Panama.

It’s foundation dates back to early 1500’s when the Spanish established and build the first Church in the Pacific.

It also hosted some pirates during their campaigns against the Spanish such as Henry Morgan and Wililam Dampier.

French painter Paul Gauguin also stayed at Taboga while he was an employee of the Panama Canal construction under the French administration.

Last but not least, the Panamanians artists, writer Rogelio Sinán and painter Roberto Lewis also called this Island their home.
