San Lorenzo fort was one of the 3 most important forts (if not the most) for the Spanish Crown during the colonnial era making this the epicenter of battles against pirates and corsairs for the riches that passed through this fortified walls.
Venas Azules is a mangrove formation located within the Portobelo National Park with crystal clear turquoise waters used by many species as a nursery and the resting place for many migratory birds.
