Kick off your Panama adventure with an unforgettable journey up Volcán Barú, a unique morning excursion that will surely stick with you long after you’ve left. This approximately six-and-a-half-hour day trip starts well before the sun comes up from the charming mountain town of Boquete. We use tough, specialized 4×4 vehicles to handle the rugged, steep mountain trails, ensuring a comfortable ride. You’ll have an exciting, roughly 90-minute drive winding through the dense Panamanian cloud forest, bringing you right up to the base of the summit.

After reaching the higher elevation, there’s just a short, fun hike left to get you to the 3,475-meter summit—the highest point in Panama—just in time to catch the spectacular sunrise. Imagine watching the dawn break over the horizon while you take in the very rare view of both the Atlantic and the Pacific Oceans spread out below you! The total cost covers park permits, an experienced local guide, a warm picnic breakfast, hot drinks, and loaner gear if you need it.
