Pixvae is a small fishing village in the province of Veraguas, located on the Pacific coast of Panama, approximately 220 km southwest of Panama City. The village has about 400 residents and is known for its beautiful beaches, lush rainforests, and rich wildlife.
The name Pixvae (although written “pixbae”) comes from the Guna language and means “peach palm tree”. The peach palm tree is a common sight in the area and its fruit is a popular food in Panama.

Pixvae is off the grid, with no phone signal or electricity. People live a simple life here, following the natural rhythm of the sun. The most common form of transportation is by horse.
The surrounding area is a nature paradise, with hidden beaches, caves, and waterfalls. Pixvae is also the closest mainland access point to Coiba National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
