Green Veraguas

On our first day in the province, we will do the artisanal Coffee tour experience where you will have the opportunity to visit the Maria y Chon Farm. In it we will tour the coffee plantations in a traditional peasant system, we will observe the process of drying the coffee in the sun, roasting in a paila and grinding in a pylon or manual grinder.

We will taste delicious dishes of the local gastronomy, such as a chicken soup with vegetables made with firewood, called sancocho in a local restaurant.

After our tour of Santa Fe, we will visit the community of San Francisco de la Montaña, which is believed to have been founded in 1621. In it we find the Parroquia San Francisco de Asís National Monument , built in 1727, according to Father Fernández de Vidal dovecote. Its baroque-type architecture mixes Hispanic art with images of autochthonous features.

We will also have the opportunity to visit a very famous bakery in the area, which offers breads with very particular names such as “chola toad”, they also have delicious traditional desserts such as mamallena, rosquitas, among others.

At the end of our experience in San Francisco we will be returning to Santiago de Veraguas. Lodging in Santiago

The next day we will be leaving at dawn to Playa Santa Catalina. In a journey of 1 hour and 30 minutes by car until we reach the beach, where our great adventure in the Coiba National Park will begin .
Then we will leave for the Coiba National Park, on a 1 hour and 30 minute journey in safe boats to the park.

Coiba will surprise you in each of its corners, its richness is infinite . In the park you can snorkel in islands such as Ranchería or better known as Coibita . In this wonderful experience you can see many schools of fish of many colors, manta rays and sea turtles . You will also have the opportunity to take a walk along its trails , where the diversity of flora and fauna is immense. The day will not be enough for so many activities that the park can offer us!

We will have our snack based on sandwiches, snacks and fruits.

At the end of our lunch we will be returning to Santa Catalina
